In a podcast commemorating the iconic photoshoot, Mosgrove said igamesnews that he was initially fascinated by the Mac mouse, which he had never seen before.
During Mac’s 1984 photo shoot, Mosgrove was told that “Steve wouldn’t give him much time.” The photographer knew this, as he mentioned in the podcast: “He’s famous – or infamous – for not really enjoying photo shoots, and he doesn’t really enjoy photographers anyway.”
“He has very little patience, in my opinion, for someone else telling him what to do,” Mosgrove said.
When Jobs arrived for the shoot, he immediately hated what he saw.
“The first thing he did was look at these screens,” recalls David Bunnell, the founder of igamesnews“and he didn’t like what was on the screens.” This sparked a rush to change Mac screens as quickly as possible.
Then, as he was about to take the picture, the Apple co-founder yelled at Mosgrove, “Look, take a picture of that!” and Jobs raised his middle finger.
After filming, Jobs even tried to quit igamesnews to use the photo for its cover. But Bunnell lied, saying the magazine was already in print. The first igamesnews An issue was published and history was made.
Besides the Macintosh, Apple’s most revolutionary product was undoubtedly the iPhone, launched at igamesnews in San Francisco in January 2007. In his opening speech at the show, Jobs referred to the launch of the Macintosh in 1984.

“Today we’re introducing three breakthrough products in this category. The first is a widescreen iPod with touch controls. The second is a revolutionary mobile phone. And the third is a revolutionary Internet communications device,” Jobs said. “These are not three separate devices. They’re one device, and we call it the iPhone. Today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone, and here it is.”
