Google allows us automatically delete activity history of our account, something we've already shown you how to do. The company has also expanded the functionality among its other operating systems. This is the case with YouTube, which for a few months has allowed us to prepare for automatic deactivation of its history.
This way, all users will know set up in your YouTube account whether they want history to be automatically deleted or not, more than likely this will happen. Therefore, there is an additional privacy setting in the account, which contributes to its optimal use.
How to reduce YouTube data usage on Android
If you want to reduce the mobile data usage of the YouTube app on Android, there are two settings you can change in the app.
Clear history on YouTube by default
YouTube History doesn't only include the videos we've seen in our account. And it's searchable what we have done in the application is recorded in the said history. So, you may want to get this all eliminated permanently after a while. In a few months we have this in the app, which is also easy to set up. The steps to achieve this are:
- Open YouTube on Android.
- Click on your profile picture.
- Enter settings
- Enter History and privacy.
- Click Manage all activity.
- Get a card stating that this activity will be saved until you manually delete it.
- Click Change this setting.
- Select the time that will pass until the history is deleted.
- Click on Next.
- Confirm
If you doubt the amount of time it is recommended to have this history in the app, remember that how long do you save, YouTube will use it to send us or show us recommendations. So if you want, you can choose a very short time in this case, so that such information can be stored in the app.
A very simple request to download videos from YouTube
GetTube is an application that lets you download videos directly from YouTube to your Android phone so you can keep up with them.
If we want to remove it directly from the program, we can use it Clear Play History history option and search history based, available in the History and Privacy section. Here it will be removed directly, or we have to do it ourselves, it will not be done automatically as we have fixed it. On YouTube you can use both options.
