When we create an email, whether on our iPhone, iPad or Mac, we can change the font, color, size, etc. Also, on our Mac we can define font and default size for every email we write.
Now that we use email for just about everything, being able to adjust the default font is undoubtedly a great help, because we will avoid extra clicks when creating messages. This option, however, only available on our Mac
How to set the default font
- We open the app Email on our Mac.
- On the menu Email we choose Favorites or press Command (⌘) +, (comma).
- We add a tab Types and colors.
- We touch Select right Message type. A new window will appear where we can adjust the font, style and size.
- In the column Family we choose the font we want to use by default.
- In the column Type we choose if we want to use bold, italics, etc. Usually we will choose Always.
- In the column Dimensions we will write or select a font size number. Usually we will go between 12 to 18 points.
Finally close all windows and we start writing new email inside Email, font will be the one we just selected. Note that although it seems like we can choose the default color for the messages Email does not limit that selection.
And with occasional changes?
If what we really want is to change the message in the font we write, the steps are different. Also, they are the same on our Mac and iPhone or iPad. Once we have written the message, select content and touch "A"
Put simply, when we all want to increase or decrease the font size of the messages we send, we'll know that Email because Mac offers us this option.
