When we get a call on our iPhone we have it different ways of knowing who you are– Look on the screen, set Siri to let us know who's calling before the tone, or give a different ringtone to it. But there is a fourth, most unnecessary way to get our iPhone out of our pocket, or even to have an activated sound: personal vibration.
Vibration
We can create a custom vibration pattern where our iPhone will notify us of an incoming call and delegate to someone. This way, when we see the iPhone vibration in our pocket we will know that it is the person calling us.
- We open the app Contacts on our iPhone.
- We add contacts that interest us.
- We touch Edit.
- We touch ringtone
- We're in Vibration.
- We choose Create a new vibration.
- Click on the screen to start recording. The iPhone will vibrate as long as keeping the screen pressed, thus affecting the long and short gestures we create our pattern. When we finish recording we can press Play again
- We touch Save.
- We write the name of the pattern.
- We're pressing Save.
- We touch <ringtone.
- We're pressing All right.
- Again All right
From now on the person in question will call us to note the personal vibration we just made. In step five, however, we can select one s Various vibrations are predetermined appear.
And it's easy, whether it's for a family member or a friend, when we see a particular vibration pattern on our iPhone we'll know we want to answer the phone.
