Post WhatsApp audios as statuses
WhatsApp announced a few days ago a set of improvements for its status function. Some of them had been tentatively rolling out to beta users for a while, but now we have confirmation that they they will eventually affect everyonebeta or not, in the next few weeks.
The audio statuses are perhaps the most interesting novelty, since until now WhatsApp has allowed us to publish texts, photos or videos. add now voice notesalthough we could say that it is a bit hidden, because to create a voice status you must press the pencil icon (which sometimes turns into a microphone), in the tab of States.
Creating a text status and a voice status is done from the same screen, but if you write text, you will not be able to record audio and if you record audio, you will not be able to write text. With empty text, the send icon changes to a microphone. Tap it to start recording your message.
WhatsApp status voice recorder does not have a hands-free mode, so you need to hold down the button while recording, and as soon as you stop, the recording ends. You cannot stop and continue recording later.
After registration is complete, you can play your audio before sharing, as well as change the background color with the color palette button at the top of the screen. As always, you can change the privacy of the status – i.e. who will be able to see it – by touching the button that appears at the bottom of the window.

- Press the floating button on the pen (or microphone)
- Hold the microphone button and record your voice
- Release the button, preview the audio (if desired) and hit the send button to post it
