Just four days ago, Android Auto 9.3 became the last official version and we already have a new beta version: Android Auto 9.4 beta. The new beta is coming very soon, the previous one having become official last week.
Those who are part of the Android Auto beta program on Google Play will receive the update to Android Auto 9.4 via the App Store as usual. For the rest, there is always the possibility of downloading and installing the APK.
Android Auto 9.4 beta now available
Google didn’t want to end the week without launching a new version of Android Auto. The second, in fact, because at the beginning of the week the stable version arrived.
Android Auto reaches version 9.4 Beta although ironically along the way the only visible novelty that we saw in the previous beta is lost: The “Start Application” option no longer appearsone of the few visible novelties of the latest Android Auto updates.
As it has come, it has gone. Android Auto 9.4 no longer shows this setting which didn’t even work otherwise, so it’s entirely possible that your activation was an error. After all, Google still prefers to enable Android Auto news on the server side and in a particularly staggered fashion.
With no news on the changelog or the list of known issues that Google maintains, we’re once again in the dark about what’s changed. After testing the new version, we can confirm that neither the Material You settings overhaul nor any other Coolwalk changes are active.
Android Auto 9.4 Beta should include internal fixes, so it never hurts to update, especially if you encountered an error while using the system. To get the new version, the easiest way is to install it from your APK filein APKMirror.
