How to take advantage of the Apple Music and Apple TV+ student offer
Apple is offering Apple TV+ for free with the Apple Music student plan, but proving you’re eligible for the student plan isn’t exactly straightforward.
You will need to verify your student status and prove that you are enrolled at an eligible university or college to take advantage of the offer.
In the US, visit this page on Apple’s website to redeem the offer.
In the UK you must go through the Unidays website to claim the offer.
Follow the steps below:
- Open the Apple Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- Click Start your trial – but choose Student: Tap where it says “Are you a college student?” and you’ll be taken to a verification system. If your college or university is eligible, you’ll get the discounted subscription rate.
- Tap or click Check Eligibility.
- UK students will be redirected to the UNiDAYS website where they will need to log in or create an account. US users will verify their student status on Apple’s website.
- Once you’re verified, you’ll be redirected to the Music app.
- Sign in to Music with your Apple ID.
- Add your payment information.
Towards the end of each year that you have an Apple Music student subscription, you’ll see a message asking you to verify your student status in the Apple Music app or iTunes.
You can cancel your Apple Music subscription at any time.
