- Open Instagram on your phone.
- Enter your profile.

- Activate the approval tag option manually (it will prevent the photos you are tagged from automatically added to the profile).
- Tap Hide photos and videos when they appear to hide your profile photos (if any).
These steps they serve to avoid two major problems.
