AirPods ended up laying the groundwork for a new category of headphones called true wirelessA charging case, small, feature-packed headphones, and you’ve got a way to shake up a January market. There is no brand that has not sought to reproduce them.
At the same time, these AirPods forced us to pay attention to another number: the battery charge not only of the headphones themselves but of their charging case. There are several ways to find out the level of this charge, but today we are going to teach you how to how to know without even opening the case.
Leave the charging case where it is: you can check the AirPods battery from a Widget
Opening the lid of the AirPods case near the iPhone is a very quick way to know its charge (and that of each earphone separately), so why do we need to know without doing this gesture? GOOD for times when we have the case stored and it is not easy for us to access itlike when we ride a bicycle or put it in a suitcase that forces us to get up from the seat of the train or the plane.
In order to know the battery charge of these AirPods without touching their case, we will use the Battery Widget provided by iOS and which we can place on any page of the main screen of the system. To do this, unlock your iPhone and tap and hold an area where there are no icons until they start shaking. Now click on the “+” button in the upper left corner of the screen:
A list of Widgets you can add will appear. The fastest way to find what you are looking for is to write ‘Battery’ in the integrated search engine:
You will find that the Widget offers different sizes. To make sure the battery level of the case is displayed, select the largest size (Remember that AirPods charge normally appears when you wear them.) Finally click on ‘Add Widget’:
All you have to do is drag the Widget where you want and click ‘OK’:

This way, you can maintain your AirPods’ battery level at all times, without even having to search for the charging case in that pocket you normally hate to access when you’re on the go. The more comfort, the better.
