WhatsApp can be protected using Face ID or Touch ID on your iPhone, a setting you should enable immediately to keep your chats safe from prying eyes.
WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging application in the world, with millions of users worldwide. And in recent years, it has made an effort to improve privacy. It all started some time ago with end-to-end encryption of messages between platform users, although privacy has been greatly improved with WhatsApp protection with Face ID or Touch ID
On the iPhone, we can protect any app with Face ID or Touch ID with a little trick, but it’s better for apps to implement this protection natively. And WhatsApp is precisely one of those apps that can be locked natively using Face ID or Touch IDyou can even hide and protect individual WhatsApp chats using Face ID or Touch ID.
As an additional security measure, you can enable Touch ID or Face ID in WhatsApp. If you enable these features, you will need to use Touch ID or Face ID to unlock WhatsApp. Even if the application is locked, it will still be possible to reply to messages from notifications and to answer calls.
How to Put FaceID or Touch ID on WhatsApp
By enabling this option, you can keep your WhatsApp conversations more secure than ever with Face ID or Touch ID. WhatsApp is one of those apps that we all need to install on the iPhone and keep updated as improvements are added with every update. For several versions you can completely lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID so that only you can access WhatsApp, and to activate it you must follow these steps:
- Come into WhatsApp on your iPhone.
- In the inference area, tap the icon Setting.
- Now you need to enter the section privacy.
- In the lower area, press Screen lock.
- Activate the switch Require Face ID.
Once the switch is activated, you will see that you have several options. WhatsApp may crash immediately every time you exit the app and ask for Face ID every time you enter, or block after 1 minute, 15 minutes or 1 hour. We advise you to choose immediately, so that your WhatsApp is always protected.
If Touch ID or Face ID fails to unlock WhatsApp, you will need to enter iphone unlock code. Of course, this is a very interesting security measure that will protect our WhatsApp chats from prying eyes. You can leave your iPhone to whoever you want without worrying that they can read your conversations.
