Apple has added a new feature to record a message in FaceTime video calls.

How to Record a FaceTime Video if They Don’t Answer the Video Call
If the FaceTime video call isn’t working due to connection issues or the other person can’t answer for some reason, the app will prompt you to record a video. The other user will see the missed video call and the video message.
- open app FaceTime in you iPhone or iPad.
- Start a video call with a contact.
- If the person you are calling does not answer, an unavailable message will appear next to the button “Record a video”.
- After pressing the “Record Video” button, you will have a 5 second countdown after which the video recording will begin.
Situations in which you can send a FaceTime message
You won’t always be able to send a video message via FaceTime, except in the following situations:
- When the receiver does not answer the video call.
- When the call cannot be completed by Connection problems Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- When the receiver has the airplane mode activated.
- When the receiving device is disabled.
- When the person you are calling declines the video call.
