Although concerns about possible misuse of this information were an immediate warning, Users have the choice to opt out of having their data used to train their AI.as read in the email which says verbatim:
We are preparing to expand our AI experiments in Meta to your region. AI at Meta is our collection of generative AI features and experiences, like Meta AI and creative AI tools, and the models that power them..

To help provide you with these experiences, we will now rely on the legal basis called legitimate interests to use your information to develop and improve AI on Meta. This means that you have the right to object to how your information is used for these purposes. If your objection is accepted, it will apply from that moment on.
To oppose this measure, Users must go to privacy settings on Instagram and Facebook, the measure does not cover WhatsApp, and fill out a form confirming they want to disable permissions. Below we present the steps to follow to carry out the process from Instagram and Facebook:
Disable permissions that allow Instagram to use your data to train AI.
1. Go to your tab Profile on Instagram.
2. Tap the three-stripe icon at the top right to open the menu.
