Google Maps has had its own incognito mode for a few years now, so anything you do or search during that session isn’t associated with your Google Account. the Google Maps incognito mode is also available in Android Auto.
If you want, you can use Google Maps navigation in the incognito car, and it has another advantage beyond the fact that what you do on your journey isn’t recorded in your timeline and search history.

Android Auto is the interface adapted to the Android car, which loads special versions of applications compatible with simplified options and a simplified menu
The Google Maps you see in Android Auto is the same as the Google Maps on your mobile, but obviously with a much simpler interface, since Google Maps on mobile has buttons everywhere. However, what you set in Google Maps on mobile affects Google Maps in Android Autoincluding incognito mode.
Therefore, if you want to use Google Maps incognito mode in Android Auto, you need to set it up on mobile first. Open Google Maps, tap your profile picture in the search bar, then tap Activate incognito mode
Don’t forget you have to before connecting the mobile to the carbecause after doing it, Google Maps cannot be opened in the car: during the test, you will receive an error message telling you that you cannot use Maps on the mobile while Android Auto is in course of use.
Then you only need connect mobile to car and launch Android Auto. After opening Google Maps -if it didn’t open automatically- a window in the foreground will indicate that incognito mode is active. What you do won’t be recorded, although other Google services may still notice it if, for example, you use the Google Assistant to choose the destination.
One advantage of Google Maps incognito mode in Android Auto is that the search bar is minimized and it stays minimized, instead of displaying tips in a box that covers a good portion of the map. On the other hand, you won’t have to choose from your favorite sites in the list.
