Although Huawei is not expanding in the smartphone segment outside its home territory, the brand has unveiled in Europe a new trio of phones that correspond to the Nova family. More precisely, the Huawei Nova 12s, Nova 12SE and Nova 12i They are already among us, all to cover the different mid-range price points.
Huawei did not stop for a moment despite the fact that the American veto wreaked real havoc on its product portfolio, especially mobile phones. And this is where the company is getting attention lately, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro marked a before and after for the brand. We won’t see this one outside of China, and certainly not the rumored Huawei Pura either. But we have some new material to pay attention to.

Huawei Nova 12s
The most powerful of the three features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch for the front camera that This goes up to an impressive 60 megapixels. The phone’s straight edge design leaves a very usable surface area; with a processor that, due to Huawei’s limitations outside China, remains a Snapdragon 778G without 5G. This is a 2021 SoC.
A single storage version, 256 GB; and without us knowing the amount of RAM memory. The phone includes a 50 megapixel rear camera as main and an 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens; camera that can also be used for macro photography.
4,500 mAh battery, dual stereo speakers, dual SIM or single SIM version, 66W fast charging with included charger and under-panel fingerprint sensor.
Huawei Nova 12SE
The middle of the three brothers retains a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole for the 32-megapixel front camera. 256 GB of storage, we don’t know the RAM memory and we know what the processor is: a Snapdragon 680. Huawei is releasing somewhat old SoCsthat of Qualcomm also dates from 2021.
As curious as it may seem, the intermediate mobile gains a third camera: in addition to the main 108 megapixel sensor, and an 8 megapixel wide angle, the Huawei Nova 12 SE integrates a dedicated 2 megapixel macro sensor.
Huawei offers an optical fingerprint reader under the screen, includes a 4,500 mAh battery with 66W fast chargingalso has a version with dual SIM or single SIM and partly with EMUI 14. All three equip this version of the operating system and come without Google Play or Google services.
Huawei Nova 12i
The smallest of the new trio reduces performance without losing its attractive design; all with straight edges and a curious circular rear photographic module. In front, the Huawei Nova 12i mounts a 6.7-inch OLED screenleaves room for an 8-megapixel front camera and includes an optical fingerprint sensor under the panel.
Regarding the rear cameras, the 108-megapixel sensor of the Nova 12SE remains in the 12i, although wide angle camera falls. Failing that, the phone offers a 2-megapixel secondary camera to calculate depth in portrait mode.
The Huawei Nova 12i’s fast charging goes down to 40W without losing the charger included in the box, even if its battery has a little more capacity: 5000mAh. Like its brothers, the Nova 12i offers two models: either dual SIM or single SIM, both with 4G.
