The cheap package with Netflix ads is here to stay, and the tests that the social network Meta is currently carrying out suggest the possibility of a total change in the very essence of a network like Instagram: watching ads to continue enjoying content shared with family or friends. Several Reddit users have encountered full screen ads to continue using the app.
This would be the first time that something similar happened on a social network, because, although they are full of advertisements when you scroll the feed, as is the case on Instagram, you see an advertisement full screen would mean a huge change in your entire experience
This type of ballo on catheter is similar to what happened last year with Netflix
Ad Breaks is the new Instagram feature which was shared by user @notthatogwiththename on the official Instagram subreddit. According to the screenshot shared, you can see an ad informing that it cannot be skipped. This lasts three to five seconds and means that when you go to see content updates from friends or family, an ad may appear shortly after, as happens in freemium games or in the usual Netflix games or from Amazon Prime Video itself.
You can read it perfectly the notice that Instagram shows to the user: “You are viewing an ad break. Ad breaks are a new way to display ads on Instagram. Sometimes you will need to display an ad break before continuing to explore.”
At the moment there has been no official announcement from the company and It’s more like a test which sparked a big rejection from users of the Instagram community of the social network Reddit. Whether Ad Break will roll out to the rest of users remains to be seen, but if Disney+, Max, Prime Video and others copied Netflix’s new business model from last year, it could show the way for the rest to follow .
And if mobile games were filled with ads, then streaming platforms followed the same path, and now it is possible that the same thing could happen with social networks, There will be little space left on a smartphone that does not display advertising or you have to pay a subscription to delete them.
