As happened a year and then a few months ago, Samsung is preparing to repeat playback of Galaxy Ring. We met the smart ring with the Galaxy S24, back in January. The Korean presented it to us during this Unpacked, even if she did not make it available to the participants. There was just a video about it.

Nearly six months passed until, this summerThe Galaxy Ring was released alongside this season's Galaxy Z.

Well, recently, according to Korean media Yonhap, the Galaxy S25 will not come alone in the next January unpacked. There they could be presented with a new device such as augmented reality glasses who have been playing for a long time.

As we have learned in recent months, Samsung is working on an augmented reality device which would come in the form of a XR glasses. Although at first it was thought that it would be a direct competition with the Apple Vision Pro, later, due to an error by Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm, it was learned that it would would act as glasses in the style of Mark Zuckerberg's RayBan Meta.

As the CEO of Meta himself anticipates, there are already experts who believe that this would be the type of device that will make us forget about cell phones in the future and, faced with a scenario like this, it is normal that Samsung does not want to miss its piece of the pie and occupy a competitive place in this next technological race. For this, I would develop these XR glasses in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm.

Thus, everything seems to indicate that, At the next Unpacked, Samsung's XR glasses would debutalthough probably in some type of audiovisual material that would serve as a teaser, to then be presented and put on sale later, possibly at an event in the middle or end of the year, repeating the formula already seen with the Galaxy Ring.

For the moment, what we know about Samsung's XR glasses is that they would be similar to the concept of RayBan's Meta, being similar to classic glasses or sunglasses. They would establish a Qualcomm AR1 chip and a battery of around 155 mAh, would weigh around 12 grams and have a built-in 12MP camera. They would have access to AI functions and even allow payment contactless.

One UI 7 is now official: Samsung unveils all the new features of Android 15 for its Galaxy

Your software would have integration with Gemini and, yes, it will see the light of day sooner, possibly during the Unpacked event (not crazy at all, to allow developers to anticipate the commercial launch of the glasses).

Of course, at the moment all this remains to be confirmed, since, as usual, the project is another of the many open secrets in technology.
