Apple continues to move forward with its next update and just released the fifth beta of iOS 15.4 as well as the rest of the fifth betas for the other platforms: iPadOS 15.4, tvOS 15.4, HomePod 15.4 and watchOS 8.5.
Now available for developers, the fifth betas of all Apple systems are now available for download from the Dev Center, not yet for public beta users. After this new series of updates, the final version should be about to be released for everyone
iOS 15.4 brings important new features such as the ability to unlock the iPhone using Face ID with the mask on, a novelty that has been a long time coming but that we finally have with us and that leaves the incorporation of a fingerprint sensor on the display of the next iPhone model almost excluded. New emoji, addition of the COVID certificate to the wallet, and new measures to avoid tracking people via AirTags, in addition to other functions not available outside the United States such as “Tap to Pay” which makes it possible to carry out payments between iPhones without the need for hardware.via.
In iPadOS 15.4, Universal Control goes hand in hand with macOS 12.3, a feature with which you can control your Mac and iPad with the same keyboard and mouse, allowing you to work comfortably, getting the most out of both systems. New versions of watchOS, tvOS and HomePod do not bring relevant news worth mentioning.
These new versions should be released or announced at least during the March event where Apple could show us a new iPhone SE, new iPad models and maybe a new model of Mac with M2 processors. This event remains to be confirmed.
