A few days ago we were talking about the code of the first beta version of iOS 17.5 and what it contained and had not yet been announced by Apple. It was nothing more and nothing less than a function to disable unwanted tracking accessories that are not compatible with Apple’s search network. However, the news continues and apparently iOS 17.5 Beta 1 code reveals new 4th generation Apple Pencil which could be launched in the very near future. We explain the details below.

iOS 17.5 code shows the new Apple Pencil

The truth is that this first quarter of the year for Apple was going to be spectacular in terms of the large number of devices presented and all this is just a small preview of what will be in 2024 since we have only seen the new MacBook Air with the M3 chip. We are still impatiently awaiting the new iPad, in all its models, which will arrive throughout the month of May.

But in addition to the iPad, Apple too I would work on the new 4th generation Apple Pencil as the ins and outs of the code from the first iOS 17.5 beta for developers show:

NumberOfApplePencilV2ConnectionsCount
NumberOfApplePencilV3ConnectionsCount
NumberOfApplePencilV4ConnectionsCount

In the code snippet from iOS 17.5, you can see the four generations of the Apple Pencil and its connection with the operating system. Currently we have the 1st generation and the 2nd generation. However, Apple calls the Apple Pencil with USB-C 3rd generation although it is not advertised as such on its website. SO, The 4th generation Apple Pencil is the new stylus they have been working on for a long time

and which we have spoken to you about several times.

Additional code was also found, suggesting a new pressure gesture for certain actions, which could mean that Apple could introduce some type of haptic technology in this new Apple Pencil.
