iOS 18.3 code hides a secret app that Apple hasn't told us about
Apple could be prepare a new application for the iPhone which we hadn't heard of until now. iOS includes many apps, some more essential than others. The Diario app was one of the last to arrive; Freeform came before, and we might have another new app soon. At least that's what the latest iOS 18.3 beta suggests.
As revealed in 9to5mac, References to this new application were found in the source code of iOS 18.3 beta 2. They say that they have already found references in the betas of iOS 18.2, but that with the final version of this update they have been eliminated.
The new Apple app could arrive in the near future
According to reports, the application will be called “Apple Invites” and its objective will be to Help users host in-person meetings and events. Although this is something that can already be done from the Calendar application, it is expected that this application will be much more beautiful and intuitive, in addition to including new functions.
Basically the app will allow view a list of people invited to an event and who have already confirmed their attendance. It's not yet clear whether “Prompts” will be a standalone app or whether Apple plans to integrate it into other parts of the system, as an extension within iMessage or the Calendar app itself.

It also looks like this app will be synced with iCloud and that we can manage events created from the Apple cloud website with a specific application. Which indicates that it could be an important application by having its own web version.
During the presentation of iOS 18, Apple said nothing about this supposed application, which seems to develop secretly. This may mean that this is simply an Apple test that may end up being abandoned. Although this could also be a possible new feature of iOS 19 that is in preparation.
iOS 18.3 is a fairly small update compared to the other big iOS 18 updates released by Apple. And we know that, compared to iOS 18.4, this will also be almost negligible. Although it is true that this version is generally, traditionally, the one that includes the fewest improvements.
Anyway, iOS 18.3 includes new features like compatibility with robot vacuums cleaning in the Home app, a new dark design for the camera control button in Settings, and fixes to some Apple Intelligence related bugs. In addition, in iOS 18.3 we also recovered a very interesting trick of the Calculator application that had been lost with the arrival of iOS 18.
iOS 18.3 is expected to launch in early or mid-February, with new beta versions launching in the coming weeks. We will then be able to see if this secret application is still hidden in the code update or not. Although it seems clear that this is not an application that we are going to see soon, since Apple is expected to officially announce it first.
