A new rumor claims that iOS 18 will have design elements based on visionOS, Apple’s Vision Pro operating system
We’ve heard a lot of rumors about iOS 18, including that Apple is going to introduce important artificial intelligence features that will make Siri better than ever. However we hadn’t heard any rumors related to the operating system design, until now. According to a rumor shared this week by the Israeli site The auditor, iOS 18 could introduce visionOS design newsthe Apple Vision Pro operating system.
visionOS has a pretty unique design, not just because of the round Apple Watch-style icons. At visionOS, we have many transparencies in the user interface, something we don’t see on iOS. And according to this information, Apple is working on something similar, for example iOS 18.
Apple will introduce the iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 operating system next June as part of the annual WWDC 2024 developer event. Verifier has learned that the company intends to make design elements and changes to the user interface in the same way as the visionOS operating system.
As they strictly indicate, Apple is already testing these types of changes. In tvOS 17.2, the company introduced a new floating sidebar that replaces the previous sidebar and Apple made the bar transparent like in visionOS. And it seems that this will be the script to follow in the next Apple interface, it is said that in iPadOS 18 we will have an almost identical style.
Apple generally has a pretty similar design line between all of its operating systems, so this isn’t a rumor that seems strange. It would make perfect sense for Apple to include this visionOS aesthetic in the rest of its operating systems, but this is the first rumor we’ve heard about it. Additionally, this outlet has no known history of rumors about Apple.
Apple will introduce iOS 18 at its annual WWDC24 developer conference in June and the first beta should be available shortly after the announcement. The official launch will reach all users in September with the iPhone 16.
