The iPhone 12 is poised to replace its older siblings as the best-selling smartphone. In 2019, the iPhone XR was the number 1 smartphone in the world, and last year the iPhone 11 finished at the top of the list. Now the iPhone 12 says the same as its older brothers and has positioned itself as the best-selling smartphone of the month of january 2021.
According to the study carried out by Counterpoint search, Apple managed to place 6 devices in the top 10 best-selling smartphones during the month of January. In fact, iPhones are the only high-end smartphones on the list.
We knew the iPhone 12s were selling very well, especially the three bigger models. And while the iPhone 12 mini would sell poorly, managed to enter the top 10 of the best-selling smartphones.
The 10 best-selling smartphones in January 2021
The IPhone 12 got off to a good start in 2021 with spectacular sales. One-third of iPhone 12 sales come from the United States, where the iPhone 12 Pro max is the top-selling iPhone. For its part, the iPhone 11 continues to be solid, ranking 4th among the best-selling smartphones.
The Apple iPhone 12 tops the list, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. These three iPhone 12 models contributed 71% of Apple’s total sales for the month of January.
