When did you discover you could adjust the brightness of your Android phone's flashlight? If you haven't yet taken advantage of this tip, we'll show you how to do it: very useful if the default light intensity is not sufficient for our use.
Mobile flashlight is very useful, just a few clicks on the screen can save us at any time. Of course, not all users know that this is possible change the flash power of our mobilea trend that is starting to become widespread in the Google system and that the iPhone has long had among its hidden functions.
Adjust Flashlight Brightness on Your Android
Before telling you this little but useful tip, know that Not all Android phones have this feature. It is true that the most recent models from brands like Samsung or Oppo allow you to adjust the intensity of the flashlight, but there are still some brands that have not integrated this option into their respective systems.
As we said, your Samsung Galaxy can do this, if you also have a terminal with ColorOS. On the other hand, other phones like the Google Pixel do not offer us this setting, even with the update to Android 15 installed. Still, it doesn't hurt to try, you can access it very quickly:
- View quick settings, or Control Center on your Android mobile.
- If the flashlight shortcut isn't enabled, add it by tapping the pencil icon (or an “Edit” option).
- Once this quick setting is successfully added to the list, tap it to turn on the flashlight as you normally would. If it works correctly, you only have one step left.
- Keep your finger pressed on the flashlight icon. An additional menu will appear where you can adjust the intensity or brightness.

Otherwise, absolutely nothing will happen. Of course, it may be added unexpectedly in future updates to your mobile phone: don't lose hope. Or, if you don't want to waityou can use an app that serves this purpose.
FlashDim is our favorite: It's free and you can download it from the Google Play Store. This won't add the function to the flashlight icon, but it will allow us to adjust its brightness level from the app itself. Now there is no problem using the flashlight without being dazzled, even when we need it to be more powerful to illuminate further.
