Although both are used to send messages to the same contacts and with identical functions, WhatsApp on Android is not the same as WhatsApp on an iPhone. There is no one better than another, since it depends on tastes and customs, but it is a fact that visually they look like two completely different apps. Especially on the main menu.
However, there are already indications that both versions are close to matching in navigation. WhatsApp on iOS can continue with its aesthetic with the predominant white color and green will do the same on Android, but in the latter it seems that the same navigation menu will be added to that found in an Apple mobile.
Scroll tabs down, not up

The previous image helps us appreciate at a glance the aesthetic differences between WhatsApp on an iPhone and WhatsApp on an Android mobile. Although both have common elements at the top such as the camera icon to quickly download a WhatsApp status or direct access to the chat browser, the navigation bar is positioned differently; up on iOS and down on Android.
Well, as they revealed in WABetaInfo, in a future version, the Android app may move this bar down. Specifically, it is WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.23.8.4.

Of course, while the Android app would add the icons for each tab like it does in iOS, it wouldn’t be exactly the same. At least that’s what it seems for now, since the order of the menus is assessed differently. On iPhones, from left to right are ‘States’, ‘Calls’, ‘Communities’, ‘Chats’ and ‘Settings’. In Android we see it somewhat reversed: ‘Chats’, ‘Communities’, ‘States’ and ‘Calls’.
Something missing is that parameters are more visible, since currently you have to click on the three dots on the top bar and then click on “Settings”. And from what we see in the screenshots posted by WABetaInfo, it will continue in the same place.
In any case, we must not exclude that this modification of the parameters may occur in later versions. In fact, in the same way, no change will be able to be applied and even if it occurs, it will take months to see it. For now, I certify that WhatsApp is working on it and we especially think it’s a great idea to equalize the app regardless of the platform it’s being used on.
