It probably won’t surprise anyone that the iPhone 16 has some minor differences from the iPhone 15. Thinner bezels, a slightly different camera layout on the back, a new processor, and more. Now, two new rumors give us a possible glimpse of other changes compared to last year’s iPhone.
First, we have a leaker from Chinese social media site Weibo with an unproven track record who claims to have battery figures for this year’s iPhone 16 models (compared to the iPhone 15 line):
- iPhone 16: 3,561 mAh (+6%)
- iPhone 16 Plus: 4006mAh (-9%)
- iPhone 16 Pro: 3,355 mAh (+2.5%)
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4676 mAh (+5%)
The capacities of all models are slightly different from this year’s iPh one 15 lineup, with the biggest change being a nearly 10% drop in overall capacity for the iPhone 16 Plus. However, measuring battery capacity in milliamp-hours does not always give a good idea of battery life because it does not take into account the rated output voltage. The lifespan of your iPhone is a much more important factor than battery capacity: power usage of CPU, RAM, storage, wireless radios, display and others Sensors all play an important role.
In other words, it’s still too early to know whether the iPhone 16 models will last longer than the iPhone 15 or not.
Another Weibo leaker claims to have the scoop on the iPhone 16 Plus colors. We expect the standard iPhone 16 to sport the same colors, although the Pro models generally differ. According to this leaker, the colors of the iPhone 16 Plus will be white, black, blue, green, pink, purple and yellow.
These are the same colors as the current iPhone 15 models with the addition of white and purple. Of course, these simple adjectives don’t give us any idea of what they actually mean. look as. The green can be a very pale pastel mint green like it is on the iPhone 15 today, or a deep forest green, or something in between.
