Apple's iCloud Keychain is fantastic when using Safari on different devices, but it's not as useful when switching to another browser. No more. Mozilla has announced that a new iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox for macOS is now available. The extension will allow Firefox to access the iCloud Keychain and enter usernames and passwords if necessary to access online accounts.
The iCloud Passwords extension for Firefox can also create passwords that are saved to the iCloud Keychain and synced with the Passwords app. The extension requires macOS Sonoma or later. An iCloud Bookmarks extension for Firefox for Windows is also available and requires iCloud for Windows. It allows Windows PC users to sync their bookmarks with iCloud.
With macOS Sequoia, Apple introduced a new Passwords app where users can manage password information. Password integration is built into Safari, while Google Chrome has its own iCloud Passwords extension. There is also an iCloud Passwords add-on for Microsoft Edge for Mac.
