In theory, reading the content of a web page should be as easy as entering it and finding the result. But in practice, it is common for most of us to come across advertisements, pop-ups, or styles of layouts that prevent a web page from reading correctly. Fortunately, there is a solution that we can configure in our iPhone, iPad and Mac, to forget about this situation.
The Reading mode changes the appearance of a web page so that the content is easy to read, eliminating changes in the style of letters or design that get in the way while reading, especially on small screens.
Automatically activate Reader in Safari
The Reader can be loaded automatically with a configuration change that only needs to be done once per device.
When activating reader mode, Safari will only provide text and images, content that we need. Websites will be easier to read, especially on smaller screens, and much faster to load.
Activate Reader on iPhone and iPad:
- Open the app Settings.
- sensational Safari.
- hurry Reader.
- To choose All websites.
Activate Reader on Mac:
- Abra Safari.
- Click Safari in the menu bar, then click preferences
- In the tab Websites, click on Reader.
- Click the drop-down list next to When you visit other websites.
How to deactivate the Reader on certain sites
The above settings apply to all sites. But in case you deem it necessary for other sites as you are sure they will work smoothly, it is possible to add them to the whitelist so that they continue to load normally, even if Reader is activated on all other sites.
Disable reader for certain sites on iOS AND iPadO
- In Safari, visit the site you want to whitelist.
- To touch the Aa button on the left side of the address bar.
- To touch Website settings.
- Automatically turn off Reader.
Disable the reader for certain sites in MacOS
- In Safari, visit the site you want to whitelist.
- Make right click on the site url in the address bar.
- Click on Settings for this website.
- Disable Use Reader when available.
From now on, you can focus on the content, forgetting about the sudden, annoying changes while playing on your frequently used devices.
