Until not so long ago, the only real alternative if you wanted a good phone was to check if it had a Snapdragon processor. Fortunately, the market has changed a lot and there is already competition with MediaTek.
[MediaTek lanza el chip Dimensity 9000 que llegará a estos flagships]
The Dimensity 9000 launched last year was what the industry needed, and we saw it in models like the Vivo X80 Lite or the Honor 70 Pro Plus. They weren’t flagship models, but they struck the balance between power, features, and price.
New dimension 9200
The successor model aims to achieve the same goal as the Dimensity 9000, but with an improvement in power and feature count that should make it much more appealing. The new Dimensity 9200 arrives with a new 4-nanometer manufacturing process, which should, right off the bat, improve power efficiency by improving battery life. According to MediaTek, the chip uses quite 25% less energy
That doesn’t mean there isn’t a power boost, and if you’re a gamer, that’s especially great for you. The Dimensity 9200 mounts the new Immortalis-G715 GPU, which is a huge 32% performance increase in 3D graphics, while reducing consumption by 41%. These are spectacular numbers, which should make mobiles that use this chip competent in video games.
Th is GPU also draws attention to the fact that it is the first ARM design compatible with ‘ray-tracing’ technology, or ray tracing; consists of simulate light rays
In raw power, MediaTek says the new processor scores 1,260,000 points in AnTuTu, which would leave it well ahead of flagship models launched last year.
Mobiles running the Dimensity 9200 could be much better, being able to run screens up to 5K resolution at 60Hz, or at FHD resolution at 240Hz; the latter can be very good for mobile games.
MediaTek has also taken the opportunity to adopt new technologies, such as the future Wi-Fi 7; It is the first chip compatible with the new standard, which has not yet reached the market but promises better coverage of our home. It’s also the first chip to support 24-bit, 192kHz high-definition audio, which is ideal for audiophiles.
We are expecting the presentation of the first phones using the Dimensity 9200, which should be soon.
