Like that, without warning and in the middle of a siesta. Apple suddenly confirmed the rumors about this application and presented Apple Classical Musica separate app for Apple Music subscribers who love classical music, optimized for that genre.
The application is available on the App Store but in reserve, it is not yet downloadable. But already from its description we can see first hand its advantages, in which two points predominate above all: specialization and quality.
All the quality, all the data
Apple Music Classical will host over five million songs genre, spread over thousands of albums. We will be able to search for each piece by specifying particular points such as the catalog or concert number. We’ll be able to see all the most popular versions of the same Beethoven song at a glance, with all the associated metadata included and props such as composer biographies.
The catalog will be available at lossless and uncompressed audio
It’s curious that Apple has decided to make Apple Music Classical official now, as it reinforces what I recently commented on: while Spotify has pledged to tiktokize, Apple is synonymous with quality. This further separates the management of the two services.
Apple Music Classical will be available for download and use from March 28. At the level of technical requirements, we will only need our iPhone to run iOS 15.4 or later of the system, and the same with the equivalent versions of the rest of Apple platforms.
