Perhaps many of you will remember that a few months ago – at the beginning of the year 2022 – clues were discovered about the operating system called “rOS” in the second beta version of iOS 15.4.
This wasn’t the first time references to “realityOS” had been seen, as the supposed operating system for Apple’s mixed reality glasses is publicly known. We’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors about this very peculiar operating system for years, precisely since 2017.

Everything seems to indicate that Apple will launch its mixed reality glasses during the next spring 2023.
The nomenclature for Apple’s glasses operating system could be “xrOS”, according to Bloomberg. The company recently changed this name there is reference to an “Extended Reality Operating System”.
This would fit perfectly with all the leaks about how the company with the bitten apple logo’s augmented reality and virtual reality glasses work.

On the other hand, it is also very interesting that Apple is also preparing the product name. The Cupertino company registered a series of names using fictitious companies to avoid attracting media attention. The names in question were “Reality One”, “Reality Pro” and “Reality Processor”.
And the same thing happens with the “xrOS” nomenclature of the operating system of the imminent helmet from Apple. The company seems to be use “fictitious companies” for trademark registrations. In this case, it is a company called Deep Dive LLCwhich in turn is tied to another front company.
According to Mark Gurman, application engineering managers like Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Notes, and Apple News are also involved in the project.
