Apple is already working on the initial development of its Apple Vision Pro 2
Before we start highlighting the latest leaked news about the Apple Vision Pro 2, let’s do a quick summary of everything we know so far. We recently discovered that Apple may consider making a smaller, more comfortable and less expensive Apple Vision Pro 2, although the company is considering several market options, including a low-end model and a more powerful version
From The Elec they point out that the second version of the Apple Vision Pro will have More advanced micro-OLED displays with higher brightness and improved energy efficiency. This could help the company design glasses that incorporate a battery on the back instead of an external battery as is the case with the original Apple Vision Pro.
In theory, Apple would use a screen OLEDoS RGB for an Apple Vision Pro 2 which would be ready from 2027. A big improvement compared to WOLED technology with a color filter used in the first generation of the helmet.
To our knowledge, Samsung is currently the only company capable of offering a sufficient supply of OLEDoS RGB panels after acquiring the company eMagin in early 2023.
For its part, the first generation Apple Vision Pro is about to be officially launched in the United States. Apple’s augmented reality and virtual reality glasses will ship to Apple Stores during the first week of January for later release in late January or early February. Its price will be $3,499 and they will arrive in Europe later, towards the end of 2024.
