If barely a week ago we informed you that Netflix had launched its video game service starting with the Android ecosystem (we leave you the link to the news here), since yesterday lIOS users are in luck and now we can enjoy the service on our devices as well.
The service’s implementation raised doubts about how Netflix would exclusively offer downloadable video games for free on the App Store. The solution was simple: need to sign in to your Netflix account after you’ve downloaded the game.
We have the option to download Netflix games from the streaming app itself, where we will get a pop-up from the App Store to download directly or by searching for them by name in the App Store, where they will also be available. No matter which method we choose, when starting the game, it will ask us to log in with our Netflix account to be able to play it and thus verify that the user has a payment account.
Thus, not only does Netflix offer games through the App Store, but Apple continues to validate (in the same way as for the rest of the applications) the content of these when they have to be published in the App Store. That is to say, All content offered by Netflix for video games must be validated by Apple and meet the requirements of the App Store.

Right now we only have a limited number of games: Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Bowling Ballers, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast, ”and Teeter Up. , They appear in the Netflix app itself as one more row, just like if they were series or movies.
We will see if the service manages to grow in the Apple ecosystem and compete with Apple Arcade, thus promoting mobile video games. For the moment, we will have to wait for the catalog to grow, much bigger. But it is clear that having the service in the monthly subscription (which has increased even more recently and everything points to this service), is a plus for its use.
