The inexpensive Samsung mobile par excellence is renewed for another year with the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy A06. This is a somewhat continuous renovation where the biggest change is in the design, with the famous “button island”.
The Samsung Galaxy A06 repeats with the MediaTek Helio G85, being one of the cheapest phones in the Samsung catalogIt features a large screen, plenty of battery life and a dual 50-megapixel camera.

This is the Samsung Galaxy A06
About a year after Samsung launched the Galaxy A05, its successor is now official. The Samsung Galaxy A06 is quite similar to its predecessor, although followed a diet. Instead of being 8.8 millimeters thick, it is 8 millimeters. This, taking into account that many specifications remain the same or very similar.
Inside the Samsung Galaxy A06 we find the Helio G85 the MediaTekwith 4 or 6 GB of corresponding RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage that can be supplemented with a MicroSD card. It is the same processor as the previous generation.
The screen, meanwhile, is LCD, 6.7 inches and HD+ resolution. It runs at 60Hz all the time and houses the 8-megapixel front camera in a teardrop notch.
Behind it, the design stands out with a striped pattern like that of the previous generation, but now with the small change of the “Button Island”, which integrates the physical buttons into a protrusion. The terminal has a dual camera with a 50 megapixel main sensor and a secondary lens for portrait mode.
As for the battery, we find a capacity of 5,000mAh, with support for 25W fast charging (although the charger is sold separately). The device includes a fingerprint reader on the power button and will receive two years of Android updates and four years of security updates.
Samsung Galaxy A06 versions and prices
The Samsung Galaxy A06 was initially announced in Vietnam and we still don’t know if it will be sold in other countries. It is available in the following colors: black, blue and turquoise and the following versions:
- Samsung Galaxy A06 4+64 GB: 3,190,000 Vietnamese dongs, or around 115 dollars at the exchange rate.
- Samsung Galaxy A06 6+128 GB: 3,790,000 Vietnamese dongs, or around 137 dollars at the exchange rate.
