New TCL 20 5G and 20 SE: specifications, price and launch

TCL left us many phones in Europe last year, within its TCL 10 range. This range is already a successor for this new year, with the first two models that the manufacturer presented at CES 2021. The brand leaves us with two new phones: the TCL 20 5G and TCL 20 SE, which were presented with your new tablet.

The TCL 20 5G is in the mid-range manufacturer, betting on 5G connectivity, but with an adjusted price. The TCL 20 SE is in its entry range, as a budget model, which performs well in this segment. Two models that will soon arrive in Europe.

A mid-range and a low-end

The TCL 20 5G is a model in the mid-range with 5G, through the use of the Snapdragon 690, a Qualcomm chip intended for the inexpensive mid-range. This phone promises good performance, as well as good autonomy, thanks to its battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh, with support for fast charging of 18W.

In terms of design, they follow the market trends, with a 6.67-inch panel with a perforation in the upper central part, where the 8MP front camera is located. On the back of the phone we have three cameras: 48 Mpx main sensor, 8 Mpx wide angle and 2 Mpx macro. This is a fairly common combination in the mid-range, which will work well.

The TCL 20 SE is an entry-level model, with Snapdragon 460 as processor, a very common chip in this market segment. It comes with a screen with a notch in the shape of a drop of water, which stands out with its huge size of 6.82 inches. The battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh is another strong point, which promises a great autonomy to this device.

Four cameras are waiting for us on his back: 16MP main sensor, 8MP wide angle, 2MP macro sensor and 2MP depth sensor. An unusual combination in this segment, but one that promises to deliver well. An 8 Mpx sensor awaits us on the front.

Price and availability

This new TCL 20 5G has already gone on sale in Italy, so it won’t take too long to go on sale in Europe, although the brand has not given dates for it. It will go on sale in the colors dark gray and blue, in a single version of RAM and storage, with a price of 299 dollars.

The TCL 20 SE will arrive on the European market at the end of January, at the price of 149 dollars. This model is launched in a single version of RAM and storage, in the colors black and green.
