Thanks to notification ads, we do not need to interact with our iPhone at all to receive the notifications that reach us. A function, yes, which requires you to wear headphones… or not.
Thanks to the large number of accessibility settings that Apple includes in all systems, we can make Siri announce notifications to us through system speakers. Ideal to be aware of everything at all times.
Reviews wherever we are
Apple has always devoted a lot of resources to accessibility. Accessibility that caters to people who need to change some device settings, but at some point can benefit us all. In this case, it allows us to let Siri announce the notifications without wearing headphones, we will do it like this:
- We open the application Settings on our iPhone or iPad.
- We entered Accessibility.
- we touch Siri.
- We activate Announce notifications through the speaker.
Note that, just after enabling this option, a menu appears below to access Announce notifications. It’s a good idea to carefully review announced notifications, as even walking down the street with the iPhone in your pocket we will hear the announcement from Siri.
It is true that in terms of privacy it may not be the most interesting option, especially depending on the applications from which we want to receive notifications. But it is also true that for some devices, maybe an iPad that we can have in the kitchen, to be able to receive certain notifications without having to monitor it or wear headphonescan be very useful.
It is true that when it comes to notifications, the more flexibility and options we have to choose from, the more we can adapt these notifications to our needs. A form of avoid being overwhelmed by them while staying informed of everything that happens.
