Android and iOS have many differences and this is one of them.
Android and iOS. iOS and Android. The two most fascinating mobile operating systems in history. We have spoken at length about many of the advantages and vicissitudes of each platform. Although many Android users are migrating to iPhone lately, Google’s operating system has many advantages over iOS…and vice versa.
This time we will focus on one of the main virtues of iOS over Android. An intrinsic characteristic of the iPhone and its operating system that makes many Android users have this healthy desire and admiration for iOS. We are talking about design of animations and transitions of your applications.
iOS animations, far above Android
From Android Police, the animation quality of iOS App Store apps stands out remarkably, taking Netflix’s latest UI redesign as an example.
Last year, I led a UI refresh to make Netflix more fluid, enjoyable, and polished.
Today, all this work shipped!
A big thank you to @nebson And @b3ll for helping bring this to life ❤️

The user experience is magnified through iOS transitions such as a dynamic and fluid experience. Of course, it’s not that Android’s animations don’t exist or are poor quality, but they’re not as well integrated with the movement of on-screen touch gestures. Or, at least, not as well as on iOS.
Additionally, Apple ensures that all apps in the App Store have a very similar general appearance
This difference between iOS and Android has existed practically since the birth of the two operating systems. Maybe because iOS has been around for a long time, maybe because the iPhone is a more “elite” smartphone, or just because they have different styles. But it is true that the developers of the App Store take care of every little detail in the design of their applications.
