The Android app store, Google Play Store, is full of games of all kinds, including many classics that debuted on video game consoles and PCs, like several Final Fantasy, and next-generation titles with stunning graphics modern ones like Genshin Impact and the excellent Alien: Isolation.
But among the many games available, only one was crowned my favorite game of the year, a modern but retro-style game, based on one of the most famous pop culture franchises of the 80s and 90s: Ninja Turtles.
And the best part is that not only is it an awesome game, but you can enjoy it for free, on one condition: If you have a Netflix subscription.
“TMNT: Shredder's Revenge” is one of the best games for Android, free if you have Netflix
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, known simply as TMNT: Shredder's Revengeit's a type game beat them reminiscent of classics from the Arcade era and the Super Nintendo (SNES) console. However, this game was released in 2022, it is a modern development inspired by the classics and it looks simply spectacular.
TMNT: Shredder's Revenge initially arrived on the PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC consoles, but some time later it was adapted for mobile screens, and works perfectly. On the screen we find the buttons to control the game characters, including the classic crosshair to control movements, and the buttons to perform different actions like jumping, hitting or performing special attacks.
Additionally, it is compatible with accessories such as console controllers connected via Bluetooth and mobile joysticks with physical controls.
In TMNT: Shredder's Revenge we control one of the Ninja Turtles characters (options include the turtles and even Master Splinter, Casey Jones and April O'Neil), in a 2D style game in which we face endless waves of enemies of all kinds, while we complete all the missions.
In the game we can use basic attacks as well as special attacks, among other abilities, and we face the iconic villains of the saga, including Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady.
It is worth mentioning that the game is extremely fun and can be perfectly enjoyed on a touch screen. Additionally, the game's story and soundtrack are excellent. Without a doubt, all this has allowed it to become the best title I have played on my Android in the last year.
TMNT: Shredder's Revenge is part of the Netflix game catalog, which means that It can be downloaded and played completely without paying anything and without advertisingas long as we have a Netflix subscription. The streaming service has a large catalog full of good titles, and this is undoubtedly one of the best.
