On current Samsung phones with One UI 6.1.1, you can add mini widgets on the lock screen or put full size widgets in a carousel dedicated to these elements. Well, it looks like the upcoming One UI 7 customization layer update eliminates the latter option, leaving only the mini widgets.

After the One UI 7 beta was released, Reddit user FragmentedChicken discovered that the Menu Widgets page was missing. Lock screen and AOD phone settings.
In One UI 6.1.1 and several earlier versions, this page allowed you to choose what information to display when you the clock was touched on the lock screen. There was a list of full-size widgets, such as Weather, Calendar, Clock, SmartThings and several others.
On devices with One UI 6.1.1, when you touch the clock on the lock screen, the widget carousel is displayedwhich does not happen when you perform the same action in One UI 7 beta.
This removal may not please some users, but it is something that was seen coming, since, when the Galaxy Buds3 Pro was launched, the brand did not include any type of administrator widget on the screen of locking, while for previous generation headphones existed.
Maybe the reason One UI 7 doesn't have this carousel is because Samsung realized that It was an option not used too mucheither because I didn't like it or because I didn't know that clicking on the clock opened these widgets.
What the new version of Samsung's customization layer retains are the mini lock screen widgets. These can be used by tapping on any part of said screen and the editor will open to place the ones you want.
In any case, we will have to wait for the final version to know if this is an irrevocable decision or, on the contrary, if they go back and integrate the widgets again.
