For us, this weekend is one more in which we will talk about the new episodes and premieres to watch on Apple TV+. But for Apple, this weekend is very important, because the Oscars ceremony will take place in the early hours of Sunday through Monday and Apple has ballots to win an award. Not in vain Tim Cook himself will be present at the event.
A very important date in Hollywood
Apple’s main ambition is ‘CODA’, the film released on Apple TV+ which aspires nothing less than the Oscar for best picture
Today’s first Apple TV+ is ‘Pachinko‘, which Espinof has already described as one of the best series to date in 2022. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Min Jin Lee and deals with the story of a family s spanning several generations.
At the future level, we have several news that promise more content for Apple’s series and movies platform:
- The actress Gabrielle Union joins the cast of actors and actresses for the third season of ‘Truth Be Told’.
- ‘bad sisters‘ is the title of a new Apple TV+ series starring Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson. The five actresses will play five sisters reunited after the untimely death of their parents and declare their intention to protect each other. The first season will have ten episodes and will air this year.
- Another future premiere will be ‘Roar‘, a collection of ‘Black Mirror’ style feminist stories created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch. It will be released on April 15 and the trailer is certainly disturbing.
- And finally we have the official announcement of ‘Pine cone and pony‘, an animated series for the little ones of the house which will be released on April 8th. Produced by Dreamworks, it will deal with the adventures of a girl named Pinecone with her inseparable pony.
Don’t forget that today you also have the premiere of new episodes of ‘WeCrashed’, ‘Separation’, ‘Central Park’ and ‘The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey’. No boredom while waiting for this episode of the Oscars.
