Spotify is the most popular music streaming platform in the world, so it is not surprising that it is also popular among people who prefer not to pay for the content they consume. The existence of Spotify pirate versions It has been well known for years, distributed with a modified APK file, but its users have been able to continue to access the platform with few problems; So far.
In a hard blow for musical hacking, Spotify has reached Block access to users of pirate versions of its application, which allow access to premium functions free of charge and without paying the subscription. An achievement which caused chaos in the largest online communities and which revealed the large number of pirate accounts that the platform had.
This week, hundreds of Spotify users complained about platforms such as Reddit and X (old Twitter) that the official application had stopped working properly; The symptom was the same in all cases: although they can start the application, I couldn't play musicAnd in some cases, reading stopped in the middle of a song. In fact, so many people have reported problems that Downdector, the page dedicated to the recording of fall services, initially recorded a Spotify fall.
Consequently, the first rumors focused on an error on Spotify servers, which in a way do not affect all users; It was only after a few hours that a common bond began to appear among all those affected: All were Spotify Apks users.
An APK is a file type designed to pack and distribute Android applications; As this is an open system, users are not limited to the installation of applications only from the official store, but it is possible to download the APK file of most applications directly from web pages and servers. However, this also opens the door to create files Apk modifiedSomething that has many public services, although the most famous is hacking.
Many Spotify Apks that can be found on the Internet are not officers, but have been modified for Access the free Spotify premium functions. Recall that, among the advantages of premium, the elimination of advertisements, the reproduction of songs in any order, song downloads and podcasts, in addition to higher sound quality (although Spotify still does not have its high definition).
Either by technical limitations, or for another reason, so far, users of these pirate versions have been able to continue to use Premium Spotify, but not without their problems; Last year, there was already a blockade of certain users, although he did not have major repercussions. In one way or another, probably with a modification on their servers, Spotify managed to refuse access Only users of these modified application versions, allowing access to users who have really paid a bonus.
Alternatives to Spotify Apk
This is not a perfect victory for Spotify, some users reporting problems such as advertising reproduction even if you have a premium account; Some users have even found that Spotify “gave” a premium account for a life, although it is obviously an error and perhaps losing it. In addition, no one doubts that Spotify piracy will return, and that sooner or later, someone will create a method to skip this APK block. Despite everything, Spotify has achieved something that very few services have obtained so far, getting rid of pirate users, totally or temporarily.
Spotify Apks users now have two alternatives, and the best is that they are not forced to pay. Remember that Spotify is one of the few musical platforms that has free accounts; We only have to Create a free account To use Spotify.
Of course, with a free Spotify account, we will have limits to what we can listen to and how we can listen to it, and we will have to undergo the announcements; But this is an option that we will always have available. Users who wish to continue to take advantage of the premium advantages can Buy it for 10.99 dollars per monthWith the first month completely free.
