The POCO Pad wants to conquer the mid-range tablet market with a premium screen
POCO placed a lot of emphasis on the screen of its new tablet during the presentation, and it is understandable that this is so, since it is about one of the most promising and interesting parts of the POCO Pad, At least on paper. The screen measures 12.1 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2650 x 1600 pixels, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate for greater smoothness when used for gaming and other tasks. POCO has opted for a 16:10 aspect ratio for the display, instead of the more typical 16:9. Finally in this section we have a maximum brightness of 600 nits and Gorilla Glass 3 coverage for protection against scratches.
The new tablet has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor under the hood, a Qualcomm chip for the mid-range, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the POCO Pad has 256 GB of capacity, but can be expanded using a microSD card up to a maximum capacity of 1.5 TB.
POCO not only added stylus support in the new POCO Pad, but they even launched their own, which will be available in the same markets where the tablet is arriving. They also included four speakers with stereo sound. The operating system of the POCO Pad is of course the new HyperOS based on Android 14.
Finally, the POCO Pad has a front and rear camera, both 8 MP, and a 10,000 mAh battery with a charging capacity of 33 W. According to the company, a simple charge of the battery for 15 minutes can provide up to 26 hours of music playback. (with the screen off of course), remembering that in addition to productivity, this tablet is also designed for entertainment and reading multimedia content.
POCO Pad pricing and availability
The POCO Pad will only be available in select territories for now, but Its launch is currently not planned in Europe. Its price on the international market is 329 US dollars. The POCO Stylus is on sale for $59 and the Type Cover is priced at $79.
The tablet arrives in a single version in terms of RAM and storage, but will be available in two colors: graphite gray and ocean blue.
