Want to locate your iPhone even if it’s turned off? The IOS ‘Power Reserve’ mode will allow you to do this easily.
‘Power Reserve’ is a new tool that Apple has pulled out of its sleeve, and with it we can locate our lost iPhone even if we have turned it off or if it has been completely downloaded. This mode arrived with iOS 15, and puts our iPhone in power reserve mode when it reaches 0% battery. This will allow us to continue to locate our iPhone even if it has been downloaded. And, of course, here we’ll tell you how to do it.
Location services are one of the best things Apple can do. We recently heard a story where they were able to locate two people after a plane crash using an iPad. If you want to have that kind of power in your hands, just follow the simple steps
Find your iPhone even turned off or downloaded
Previously, if your iPhone hit 0%, that meant the end of its useful life until we reconnect it to the charger. Now, thanks to Apple’s “Power Reserve” function, some iPhone features are still available even when it appears to have downloaded.
With the arrival of iOS 15.2, an update that has five important new features, Apple has decided to use this feature for something even more useful. This is the integration between ‘Power Reserver’ and the Find application. Now we will have up to five extra hours to find our lost and downloaded iPhone, and we just have to do the following. If you want to check if this option is active on your iPhone, follow these steps:
- Unlock your iPhone.
- Hold down the stop button until you see the drop-down menu.
- Just below the slider to disable you will see text saying “IPhone can be located even after shutdown“.
If you see this text appear on the screen, you don’t need to do anything else. Your iPhone’s location will be available for use from the Apple Find app. It should be noted that this feature will only be available for about five hours, at which point the iPhone location will go into invisible mode again and the device will be completely powered off. However, this feature will be available for even longer if your iPhone has been manually turned off. If you did it manually, you will have the option to search your iPhone for the next 24 hours.
The IPhone devices compatible with “Power reserve” mode for iOS are:

Digital keys and Wallet cards will remain available
One of the advantages of the “Power reserve” mode is that during the five hours that your iPhone lasts in this mode, you will be able to continue to use the digital keys and certain cards saved in the Wallet application of your iPhone. This means that cars, locks, transit cards, and other keys that use Ultra Wide Band technology can continue to be used even if the iPhone needs to be recharged. It is without a doubt one of Apple’s best inventions to date.
As with Locate mode, If your iPhone has been manually turned off, you can continue to use your wallet digital keys for up to an additional 24 hours, so you won’t have to wait for your iPhone to download to use this feature.
