How to turn on notifications for your favorite accounts on Instagram
If you don’t want to miss posts from your favorite Instagram accounts, you can enable specific notifications for them by following these steps.
Prevent your Instagram posts from being shared
The social network has functions to protect the confidentiality of your account, including the possibility of prevent other users from sharing them in their stories, for example. If you want no one to be able to share your posts in their stories, especially if it’s something that is done in permission, there are a few options we can use in the app settings. The steps to follow are:
- Open Instagram on your phone.
- Click on your profile icon at the bottom.
- Click on the three horizontal bands at the top right.
- Go to settings.
- Enter the Privacy section.
- Step into history.
- Scroll down to the “Shared Content” section.
- Disable “Allow sharing of stories”.
- Disable “Allow sharing”.
The first of the options will prevent other Instagram users they will be able to share your publicationsWhether it’s photos, videos or IGTV content, in their stories. If others share what you don’t like or feel uncomfortable with, you can turn this option off. The second option prevents your subscribers from sharing your messages in messages.
These types of options will give you more control over what happens with your social media posts, preventing others from sharing them. If you have a private account and the subscribers are mostly people you know, you wouldn’t need to use these types of features.
