The next big update for all Samsung Galaxy is One UI 7. Although it is finally arriving next year, we know that it will update many phones in Samsung’s portfolio. Additionally, it will bring quite a few changes, the leaked feature list announced.
We will have to wait until 2025 to try it on our Samsung mobile, although that does not mean that we will not have news of the long-awaited update. The leaks continue, this time affecting the design side which will be one of the most important changes
Aesthetic changes in One UI 7
From the list of leaked features, we extract many aesthetic changes: the design language One UI 7 evolves from what was seen in One UI 6.1.1, with a quick controls bar that could now be merged with the notifications area.
Animations would also get an overhaul, being smoother and even interrupted by the user. New battery icons, unlock animation, big folders on the desktop… One UI 7 looks like a pretty noticeable change.
NOW, Ice Universe has done its job again: He shared on X a render of the Galaxy S25 Ultra (which leaked a few weeks ago) accompanied by a system screenshot. In it, One UI 7 shows one of its design changes. The quick commands area is very different.
We see more rounded corners compared to the same views in the current version of One UI 6.1. This change would in line with the aesthetic section of the future Galaxy S25, which would opt for less inclined corners to make gripping easier.
The leaked image shows the quick commands area with the buttons we usually see, but with a significant redesign, which reduce the size of the brightness control bar. In this saved space there is room to place controls such as volume or media playback.
With these softer cornersthe elements of this panel change shape considerably, until they become pills. A very characteristic design element that even Google has implemented in the Android of its Pixel.
That’s it for the escape: we can’t wait to try all the One UI 7 Newswhich promises a lot. Whether in a possible beta version or in next year’s stable update, Samsung has taken care of giving it new sensations, which are said to significantly improve the user experience.
