Samsung SmartTag

Up to 120 meters range with search from a mobile

Samsung Smarttag

Each tag allows the location of an object once the SmartTag has been placed on that object. With a square design, and with an opening for easy anchoring to what you want to find, simply register the Samsung SmartTag with the SmartThings service and can be located within a range of about 120 meters.

Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra, first impressions: what stands out most is what you don't see

The new Samsung labels have two versions: the normal SmartTag and the SmartTag +. Both are the same in design and functionality, but it is the improved model that allows for more precise placement; all thanks to Ultra Broadband, a technology that improves localization between devices.

IP53 resistor, made of plastic, with the possibility of being placed in a myriad of products, perfect for locating objects at close range and also for finding the phone itself: SmartTags have a button for the associated mobile to be discovered. To perform this function, both must be within range and connected. And they can perform actions recorded in SmartThings, like turning on the lights in the house.

Samsung Smarttag

Samsung Galaxy SmartTags do not use rechargeable batteries as they use CR2032 battery; which grants on paper an autonomy of 280 days. Once it runs out, you need to change the battery to keep the tags working.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag price and availability

The new labels are now available in the Samsung store: they are priced at 34.90 dollars. This cost is per unit: only one SmartTag is provided in each package. We still don’t know the price or availability of the SmartThings +.
