So far using the power button of our Samsung Galaxy, we could invoke Bixby as a virtual assistant, but that could change soon.
A new option to choose

Because so far, even though we have three options assistant in the Galaxy (Bixby, Google Assistant and Gemini), the truth is that although we have different ways of calling them to action, the truth is that until now the side button(as Samsung calls it), was reserved only for the first, the Korean brand itself.
But if only a few days ago we learned that Google would prepare the possibility of invoking Gemini to make calls or send messages even with the lock screen active, now we know that Samsung is working to allow us to summon it from the power buttonas we have done so far with Bixby.
This function replaced the dedicated button to invoke the assistant that was launched on the Galaxy S8 and was later replaced by the current way of doing it, with the power button and, as of today, Samsung does not allow any other virtual assistant to take this place.
Now at Android Authority they have found indications in the code of the latest version of Gemini that with the next update you can choose which assistant to call with a long press on the power button.
The code found belongs to the tutorial screen that precedes using the Gemini appso everything indicates that Samsung would add this functionality soon. We may already be able to see it in the next Samsung Galaxy S25, which has little time to see the light of day.
