Without adding more cables

The base doesn’t need you to add any charging cables as it has the MagSafe charging disc for iPhone, the Apple Watch charging disc (compatible with all Apple Watch models) and a small space where you can place the AirPods or AirPods Pro. The Apple Watch charger is removable and connects via USB-C on its end. It has a small indentation so you can place the Apple Watch with the crown down and it fits perfectly. The AirPods charging area has a matte rubber finish so they won’t slip.

The only cable you need is included, it’s a USB-C to USB-C cable that plugs into the back of the dock. No fast charging

The only flaw that can be found at the base is the fact that neither the iPhone’s MagSafe system nor the Apple Watch’s charging disc have fast charging. Charging the iPhone is done with the 7.5W of conventional wireless chargers, and the Apple Watch with the usual 2.5W. It should be remembered that Apple’s MagSafe system allows charging up to 15W, and that the Apple Watch Series 7 also has fast charging if you use Apple’s official charging cable. Either way, for a base that most are likely to use on their bedside table to charge their devices while they sleep, that’s no downside. It also won’t be for those who are wary of fast charging and prefer slow charging which takes better care of the battery.

To this we can also add as an advantage the fact that by not having fast charging We only need a 20W charger to be able to charge three devices at the same time. This type of charger is already very widespread and surely we already have one at home, and if we had to buy it, its prices are already very affordable, both from the Satechi brand and from other manufacturers.
