With or without Ted, there will be a fourth season of the most successful series on Apple TV+!
The departure of Jason Sudeikis from “Ted Lasso” seemed reason enough to end the series, which from the beginning was planned for three seasons. However, the show’s inspiring message led to success that required at least one more season. After so many rumors, this possibility seems about to be confirmed.
This week, Magic Rays of Light podcast co-host Sigmund Judge took to his social media to claim that Pre-production on hit Apple TV+ comedy series to begin in January in London, England. Apple has yet to confirm the fourth season and a premiere date has not yet been set.
A publication in X mid-2023, in which you can seeing part of the original cast of “Ted Lasso”, accompanied by the phrase: “Smells like potential” suggested the continuity of the series. A few months later, Tim Cook himself shared his desire to see Apple TV+’s most successful series return. And this 2024, Channing Dungey, president and CEO of Warner Bros Television Group, spoke of a possible renewal of the series, which although belonging to Apple’s streaming platform, was produced in association with Warner Bros Television Group.
Even though we’re talking about the return of “Ted Lasso”, the name of the series without its protagonist wouldn’t make much sense. SO There has been talk of a spin-off or a possible name change as alternatives to ensure the continuity of the project. But the fact that the program is still being talked about to this day indicates that Apple isn’t willing to let it go. And the story of the most positive coach of all time for FC Richmond is not easy to forget.
At the end of the third season we were able to witness the personal and professional rebirth of its protagonists.. The definitive change in Lasso’s (Sudeikis) life in a way he could not have imagined. Rebeca (Hannah Waddingham) has lived up to her role as owner of the team and between good and bad decisions, Nate (Nick Mohammed) has gained the notoriety that was so elusive within the team.
While In the final scene of last season, Ted points out that what happened in Richmond was never about him.leaving room for characters whose stories were explored in more depth during this third season, and who, supported by Ted, were also key in the transformation of the team.
With all these clues on the table, we can bet on a safe return. When and with whom, remains to be seen…
