Apple’s purchase of Shazam did not result in any major changes in the structure of Apple’s operating systems or in the app itself. However, in iOS 14 we were able to celebrate the arrival of Shazam at the control center by means of a shortcut that enabled the system to be activated with just two soft keys. It is now Shazam’s own app available on the App Store that is reaching its version 14.2 with new look and the arrival of a web version
New desktop design and website: the new one from Shazam
Shazam identifies any song in seconds. Discover artists, lyrics, videos, and playlists, all for free. Over a billion installations to date.
Shazam is known as a powerful tool capable of identifying the song being played. Thanks to the pattern recognition, the application gives us in a second the artist, the song and offers us links to listen to the song on Spotify and Apple Music. In addition, integration with Apple Music and Apple’s own systems has improved over time after its acquisition by Cupertino.

The Shazam version 14.2 Today it arrives on the App Store with a new, more modern design that adapts to the light / dark mode we are in. The new look is a lot rounder, more compatible with iOS 14 design guides, and lets us see the work behind each app update. They have also been modified a certain distribution of elements:
- Swipe your finger from home to access your previous shazams.
- Receive notifications when we find your failed or offline shazams.
- Check out the latest trends in the listings. Now available in search.
In addition, improvements have been added in the synchronization of the subjects identified with the application around Apple Music and Spotify. Now the previously captured songs sync for Apple Music. Also, if a song is deleted from this service, it will no longer be added. As for Spotify, the new songs will be synced and if the connection is lost, it will try to sync again on the next identification.
Finally, we have to welcome the web version with which we can identify songs from our browser, whether we are on macOS or Windows.
