In his latest Bloomberg newsletter, Mark Gurman said that Siri would incorporate Three new functions of Apple Intelligence in iOS 18.5. Apple announced these developments in artificial intelligence at the Developer Conference (WWDC) in June 2024, but has been delayed so far.
Siri's improved version will arrive with a better understanding of the personal context of users, with recognition on everything that is happening on the screen and with many other actions in third -party applications.
- Understand the personal context: Siri is able to understand all the information available in emails, messages, photographs, calendar events, files and a long, etc. If you ask “which film Nerea has recommended”, you will analyze your messages and will present the information. You will also remember your previous requests to offer a more dynamic and effective conversation.
- Knowledge of what's going on on the screen: One of Siri's largest new features with Apple Intelligence is that the assistant can perform actions according to what you see on the screen. For example, if you see the restaurant in Apple Maps, Siri will provide you with information about your address without having to specify which restaurant it is. You can also ask yourself to send a photo that you look at and much more.
- Actions in applications: Siri can perform many more actions in native applications and third part applications. In the same way that you can currently ask yourself to add elements to the list of reminders, you may wonder to include new tasks in applications on the task lists of the App Store like Evernote .
So, for the moment, we will have to wait a little longer to receive the news from Apple Intelligence to Siri. Remember that the iOS 18.4 software update will ultimately take charge of Apple Intelligence in Spanish and It will also include Siri's new user interface with colorful animations surrounding the screen. In theory, the first beta version of iOS 18.4 is about to arrive. It should be available from this week, but Apple employees continue to test Siri's new features so that they are ready in iOS 18.5.
