The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will begin on July 23, an edition that has been postponed for a year due to the pandemic, such as the Eurocup and the America’s Cup. For the new edition of these games they have been added 5 new sports modalities, among which we find the Skateboard.
To celebrate that skateboarding has become an Olympic game, the boys of Snowman, creator of the titles Alto’s Odyssey and Alto’s Adventure, will launch on July 23 a new expansion of the game Skate City
This new extension, will include many famous neighborhoods and places skate in the city of Tokyo. In addition, it will also include 50 new challenges, leaderboards, new tables and much more. Snowman co-founder Ryan Cash shared all the news that will come out of the hand of this update:
- 21 new challenges
- 30 new goals in Endless Skate
- New soundtrack
- New decks, clothes and gear in the Skate Shop to unlock
- New leaderboards for high scores in challenge mode
According to Ryan Cash:
Over the past few years we’ve been looking for an interesting way to tie a real-world event to something we’re doing, but we’ve never wanted to do something that doesn’t make sense. When the Tokyo games were announced, it was obvious to us. Skateboarding will take part in the Olympic Games for the first time in history, which is a moment of triumph for the sport. We knew we had to be a part of it somehow.
